Job description

Overview: This role will support a team providing business support to NA-ES, the office responsible for managing NNSA's top-level communications that form a key component of NNSA's interaction with the Department of Energy, the White House, Congress, other governmental agencies, and the public. Included within this role is correspondence analysis, classified document control, mail intake and output, internal and interagency collaborations, development and technical support of training materials, writing and editing correspondence and other documentation, and records management. Key Responsibilities: • Supports process improvement for the management, routing, and tracking of NNSA's official correspondence and classified documents. This will involve critical thinking and problem solving to develop new business processes including automation, efficiency, and optimization.
• Supports portfolio management activities across NNSA program offices.
• Operates the primary NNSA HQ classified control center at Forrestal, this includes refining, maintaining, and implementing efficient and compliant procedures and methods.
• Supports classified operations including document processing, packaging, accountability, marking, and storing.
• Supports taskings and provides input to briefings, activity summaries, and other materials that are provided to NNSA senior leadership including the NNSA Administrator, Deputy Administrator, and Chief of Staff.
• Supports inventory management and classified document accountability and tracking of classified correspondence/documents addressed to NNSA program offices into the requisite NNSA databases and tracking systems.
• Prepares classified packages for shipment ensuring proper receipts, markings, and procedures are adhered to.
• The position will be located on site at the DOE/NNSA Forrestal Headquarters in Washington, D.C., M-F 8AM – 5PM. Qualifications: • Must possess a DOE Q Clearance or DOD TS Clearance.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in similarly complex roles.
• Must possess excellent writing skills, critical thinking abilities, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Must possess a strong understanding of classified document handling requirements.
• Must be proficient in standard business applications such as MS Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Excel.
• Knowledge of the missions, scopes, responsibilities of individual NNSA program offices is a plus. About Vector Resources, Inc.
