Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for a seasoned product leader ready to drive Allied’s internal AI execution. The Product Owner will be at the forefront of deploying GenAI, predictive modeling, and intelligent automation in real business workflows. The position will work across engineering, data science, and business teams to deliver AI capabilities that solve real problems at scale.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Deliver AI capabilities that drive measurable business value across decision support, semantic search, predictive modeling, and generative AI use cases.  

  • Define and own product requirements, AI roadmaps, and sprint plans, ensuring clear priorities and scope.  

  • Coordinate with full-stack engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers to ensure successful, on-time delivery of AI solutions.  

  • Translate feedback and test results from QA (Quality Assurance) into actionable product improvements and refined requirements.  

  • Brief senior leadership regularly, translating technical progress into business impact and backing your plans with solid data and analysis. 

  • Collaborate with business SMEs to capture functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., latency, uptime expectations) and plan deployments around business cycles (busy vs. slow seasons).  

  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI into legacy processes for significantly improved outcomes, championing ideas to modernize workflows.  

  • Lead stakeholder engagement, including training SMEs and managing change as new AI-driven processes are introduced.  

  • Ensure all AI solutions comply with Allied’s responsible AI governance policies and are ISO 42001 audit-ready.  

EDUCATION  

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required. 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:  

  • At least 7 years in product leadership roles (Product Owner/Manager or similar), with program management experience in tech projects required.  

  • Prior AI or machine learning product management experience is a strong plus.  

  • Solid understanding of ML fundamentals and exposure to GenAI architectures (e.g., retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, orchestration frameworks).  

  • Strong cross-functional background spanning product management, engineering processes, and business analytics/FP&A.  

  • Executive-level communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and translate technical concepts into business terms.  

  • Comfortable diving into technical details (data flows, APIs, model outputs) to troubleshoot issues or inform decision-making, even without hands-on coding.  

  • Agile project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) for backlog and release management.  

  • Azure Machine Learning and related cloud services for model deployment and MLOps.  

  • Modern AI integration components like vector databases and orchestration frameworks for managing AI services.  

  • Standard documentation and analytics tools (Confluence, Power BI, Excel) for tracking metrics, requirements, and ROI.
