Job description

  • Learn plan reading and understanding of construction details
  • Learn to understand construction documents and how they relate to VDC, Preconstruction, and Operations
  • Assist in model development for coordination of architectural and structural components
  • Assist in model development for overhead or below grade systems coordination
  • Assist in the development of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
  • Attend coordination meetings between various parties including owners, architects, engineers, and Juneau team members
  • Assist in Navisworks/BIMTrack based coordination efforts per the BEP and communicate coordination progress to Operations team and VDC Director
  • Visit project site(s) weekly with VDC Engineer(s) and conduct laser scanning and drone services
  • Advocate for technology usage by Preconstruction and Operations teams
  • Seek and explore for innovative technologies that may benefit Juneau and/or JCC VDC
  • Assist in the review of submittals concurrently with Operations teams per BEP
  • Learn to create graphics and/or multi-dimensional videos to demonstrate logistics, phasing, sequence, and scheduling as required/requested by operations/preconstruction teams
