We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Value-Based Care Data Analyst to join our growing Analytics & Reporting team. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare analyst who is passionate about leveraging data to improve patient outcomes, support value-based care programs, and influence strategic decisions across operations, clinical programs, client success, and executive leadership.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with healthcare claims, clinical, operational, and financial data while helping shape the future of population health and value-based care analytics. The analyst will serve as both a technical expert and strategic thought partner, generating actionable insights that drive measurable business and clinical outcomes.
The Senior Value-Based Care Data Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering advanced analytics, reporting, and performance insights related to value-based care programs and contracts. This role will partner closely with VBC Operations, Provider Engagement, Finance, Customer Success, and Data Engineering teams to:
  • Evaluate clinical and financial performance

  • Translate complex healthcare data into actionable business recommendations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the success of current and future value-based care (VBC) programs by delivering analytics, reporting, and actionable insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality measure, operational, and financial reporting while documenting business rules, assumptions, and data requirements.
  • Create and enhance ad hoc analyses, recurring reports, dashboards, and performance scorecards to support evolving business and client needs.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost reduction, utilization management, and operational efficiency through data-driven analysis.
  • Partner with Clinical, Operations, Provider Engagement, Client Success, Product, and Data Engineering teams to ensure reporting and insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze healthcare claims, clinical, and operational data to measure performance against value-based care goals and identify opportunities to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and client-facing teams, translating complex analyses into meaningful business insights.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Clinical Informatics, and Product teams on initiatives related to quality improvement, population health management, and performance measurement.
  • Support data validation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure the integrity and reliability of reporting solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for value-based care analytics and provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or population health analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting value-based care programs, provider performance initiatives, managed care organizations, health plans, ACOs, or provider groups.
  • Experience working with healthcare claims, eligibility, clinical, or operational data.
  • Experience developing client-facing and executive-level reports and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering analytics projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (MPH, MBA, MHA, MS, or related field).
  • Experience supporting Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or Commercial value-based care programs.
  • Experience in kidney care, chronic disease management, population health, or care management analytics.
  • Experience with quality measurement programs such as HEDIS, Stars, or CMS quality initiatives.
  • Experience working within cloud-based analytics environments such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Skills
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, and validate large healthcare datasets.
  • Proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Excel for reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization.
  • Experience with Python, or other analytical programming languages preferred.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience performing data validation, quality assurance, and root cause analysis.

Healthcare & Value-Based Care Knowledge
  • Understanding of value-based care principles, population health management, and healthcare performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims data, member attribution methodologies, utilization analysis, and cost-of-care performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with healthcare coding systems including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG classifications.
  • Understanding of quality measures, care management workflows, and healthcare delivery models.

Analytical & Business Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within complex datasets.
  • Ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.

Compensation:
$101,000 to $110,000 per year
We offer competitive compensation that reflects market conditions and recognizes the skills, experience, and contributions of our team members. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location and may fall outside of the range shown above. In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus in accordance with the Company's applicable incentive compensation plans.
