Job description

The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Societe Generale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

The team is called MRF which stands for Market Data Referential. The team of 5 people in target aims to manage the proper collection of market data (coming from External providers), format them, and expose to Societe Generale information system. In Amer region, the team is dedicated to Amer partners mostly located in New York, Chicago and Montreal but can be exposed to worldwide requirements.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interactions with Market data specialists (within the team) and developers (in the team but also located in Paris and Bangalore) to understand Business requirements in relation with market data capture (prices, rates, product description)
  • Collection, Analysis, Design and prioritization of business requirements from Front officers, Risk officers or Auditors, to improve business processes and provide optimal delivery solutions
  • End to End follow up of solutions, including testing of solutions and post delivery checks
  • Contribution to project management and users relationship management

Must Have:

  • Good knowledge on financial products (Fixed Income, Equities, Corporate Actions, etc)
  • Experience in investment banking
  • Experience with external data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc)
  • Familiar with excel formula for data management
