Job Description:
Vaxcom Services, a Parsons Company, is seeking highly motivated and professional Armed Security Officers to join our elite team dedicated to safeguarding personnel, property, and critical infrastructure. This position involves protecting controlled areas, enforcing security regulations, and responding effectively to emergency situations.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Maintain a professional presence while delivering high-quality security services.
  • Control access to the facility by, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles and verifying identification and authorization.
  • Enforce post orders, company rules, and facility regulations.
  • Perform security patrols via foot, bike, or vehicle.
  • Observe and report all suspicious activities and incidents.
  • Respond to incidents including fire and medical emergencies, bomb threats, hazardous materials and elevator and weather-related emergencies.
  • Apply appropriate levels of force based on established Use of Force policy, including armed response if necessary.
  • Assist and direct visitors or personnel as needed.
  • Maintain weapons and equipment proficiency.
  • Complete mandatory training and recertification programs annually.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Minimum Age: 21 (required to carry a firearm).
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Driver's License: Valid with satisfactory driving record.
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible for and able to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
  • Physical Fitness: Must pass a standard fitness test.
  • Weapons Proficiency: Ability to qualify and maintain proficiency with Glock 17 pistol and M4-style rifle
  • Completion of state-specific Armed Guard certification (training provided).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Two years of active-duty military service (Reserves or National Guard included).
  • Three years of experience in physical security (armed or unarmed).
  • Associate degree or higher in a security-related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited police academy.
  • Two years combined military and security experience.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
