Opportunity

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Vascular Surgeon to join our highly experienced team at Porter Heart & Vascular Center, serving Interior Alaska and the Far North.

What the role involves: You will practice alongside our current vascular surgeon, Dr. Mark Ombrellaro, in a thriving and expanding vascular surgery program. The service offers the full spectrum of state‑of‑the‑art vascular care, including advanced open and endovascular procedures, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, along with a robust cath lab, hybrid OR, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. You will have access to modern facilities, strong APP support, cath lab, inpatient and clinic coverage, and the backing of a collaborative, multidisciplinary heart and vascular team.

  • Compensation: Base salary of $590,000 + wRVU production bonuses. Average total compensation between $700k–$830k. $65k Sign‑On bonus.
  • Schedule: M‑F (2 procedure days, 2 clinic days, 1 admin day), as well as shared night and weekend call coverage. 280 hours (7 weeks) approved time off plus 80 hours (2 weeks) paid CME.
  • Patient Panel: up to 25 patients per clinic day. Full spectrum of vascular conditions, including peripheral artery disease, carotid stenosis, aneurysms, arterial occlusions, PE and DVT, and venous disease.
  • Current Team: 1 vascular surgeon, 2 physician assistants, strong administrative support, growing in‑office non‑invasive vascular ultrasound lab staffed by registered vascular technologists, and experienced cath lab staff.
