Summary:

The Data Center Segment Leader - North America is responsible for driving SKF's growth strategy across the rapidly expanding data center industry. This role leads ecosystem development, market intelligence, and execution of business development programs across OEMs, Aftermarket, End Users (Data Center Operators), EPCs, and Integrators.

Reporting to the Industry Director, this role requires strong strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level customer engagement to accelerate SKF's presence and influence in the data center market

This is a high-visibility opportunity to help shape one of SKF's most important growth segments globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Segment Leadership

  • Execute SKF's data center segment strategy across North America
  • Define and drive priority business development initiatives aligned to growth targets
  • Support early opportunity shaping and strategic pursuits

 

Customer & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Build and manage senior-level relationships, in partnership with SKF sales leadership, across data center operators and EPC partners.
  • Engage directly with executive and technical stakeholders at hyperscalers and large data center customers
  • Participate in or lead executive briefings, industry events, and technical workshops

 

Market Intelligence

  • Identify industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics
  • Provide structured market insights to internal stakeholders
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable segment initiatives and sales playbooks

 

Sales Enablement

  • Develop segment-specific sales tools, value propositions, and go-to-market materials
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering to increase field effectiveness
  • Support product and industry program launches

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work in close alignment with regional and global teams across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Product Lines
  • Support broader SKF initiatives related to mission-critical infrastructure 

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • MBA or advanced technical education preferred

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or segment leadership
  • Experience within data centers, power & cooling, industrial automation, or reliability-driven industries preferred

Profile
