Value Added Distributors is hiring a full-time Assembler - Production Associate in Fort Payne, AL. Earn $15 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 18 years old
  • Tool operation skills (saws, crimpers, forklifts; forklift training provided if needed)
  • Willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions
  • Reading comprehension of work instructions
  • Safe lifting ability up to 65 lbs.
  • Basic math skills and measurement knowledge (tape measures, calipers)
  • Basic computer skills and typing speed of at least 25 words per minute

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN ASSEMBLER - PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

As an Assembler - Production Associate, you will report to the Production Supervisor and spend your days accurately cutting and assembling hydraulic hoses in accordance with company policies and customer requirements. You will be assembling assigned product parts, operating hand tools and power tools, keeping inventory records, and completing inspection paperwork. You'll collaborate with your teammates to meet customer demands and delivery timelines, all while maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will follow quality standards and safety procedures, participate in training, and take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving product nonconformance.
