Value Stream Manager - Growing Production!

Summary: 

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Value Stream Manager is responsible for fostering a work culture that prioritizes safety, continuous improvement and quality while efficiently meeting daily production goals. The Value Stream Manager works closely with the Manufacturing Manager to define the overall manufacturing strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Manage and mentor production team to accomplish daily production activities.
  • Ensure that products are built to meet all quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Maintain a safety culture by actively engaging with the production team, identifying and resolving risks, and ensuring compliance to safety regulations.
  • Utilize optimal process controls to deliver quality.
  • Plan labor resources to meet production demand by building a flexible workforce that is cross trained.
  • Facilitate daily huddles to align employees on safety, quality, and delivery priorities.
  • Deploy continuous improvement strategies to reduce costs and eliminate waste in the value stream.
  • Communicate value stream objectives to employees and maintain performance metrics.
  • As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as production supervisor or team leader is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record of building and maintaining a strong safety culture is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certification and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing also is preferred.
