As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a production shift to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards. This role is responsible for supervising a team of approximately 25 to 40 employees while balancing production, quality, safety, and operational objectives. Success in this position requires strong leadership, operational knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement, employee development, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Production Operations
  • Oversee daily production activities and ensure products are manufactured according to established procedures, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Balance productivity, quality, safety, costs, and team performance to achieve operational goals.
  • Conduct daily production meetings and weekly toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure accurate collection and completion of production documentation and data.
  • Generate purchase requisitions for required production tools and consumable items.
  • Support employee training and enrollment in internal and external development programs.
  • Develop and Lead Teams
  • Supervise Lead Operators and Operators to achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
  • Communicate operational updates and business priorities through regular team meetings.
  • Provide coaching, development, performance evaluations, and employee feedback.
  • Support hiring decisions, promotions, disciplinary actions, attendance management, and employee relations activities.
  • Manage labor allocation and staffing needs to meet production demands.

  • Support and administer safety programs and initiatives.
