Aventura at Carriage Inn is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, we'd love to hear from you!

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care facility. The RN oversees daily clinical operations, assesses resident conditions, implements care plans, and supervises nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident well-being, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a compassionate care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and respond to changes in health status.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.

  • Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care.

  • Document care accurately and timely in accordance with state, federal, and facility requirements.

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations.

  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and regulatory surveys.

  • Educate residents and families regarding care plans, health conditions, and treatment options.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.

  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, accountability, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications
  • Active RN license in the state of employment.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus.

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.
