Job description

We are urgently hiring Home Care Aides - HCAs - in these cities:  Bernalillo, NM - Edgewood, NM - Los Ranchos, NM - Moriarty, NM - Rio Rancho, NM - Tijeras, NM - Carnuel, NM - Rio Rancho, NM, and many other areas!

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to deliver life-changing service to your clients. As an Ambercare Value Based Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in supporting seniors and people with disabilities living independently.

The Value Based Caregiver is an experienced caregiver and oversees up to 28 clients. This position is responsible for staffing Value Based clients, ensuring shifts are worked, and provide follow up. Candidates must be willing to fill in for any shifts that are missed or not staffed. This position is 50% office and 50% field. The VB Caregiver works directly with the VB RN and coordinates staffing based on RN assessment and client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow a care plan for the client and report on completed tasks
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
  • Provide routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation
  • Transport client to appointments and daily errands
  • Assist client with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
  • Observe and report any changes in client's condition

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, and one year of in-home care services experience
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Reliable transportation. If you are using a car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance is required.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized
  • Comfortable using a cell phone
  • Three references (2 professional and 1 personal) will be required at the time of application.
