What is value based care?

Value based care is a healthcare delivery model in which providers, including hospitals and physicians, are paid based on patient health outcomes rather than the volume of services provided. This approach rewards healthcare providers for helping patients improve their health, reduce the effects and incidence of chronic disease, and live healthier lives in an evidence-based way. Value based care aims to improve quality, reduce costs, and focus on prevention and wellness, benefiting patients, providers, and payers alike.

Job description

Primary Care Physician

Location: Torrance, California
Compensation: $250,000–$280,000 base + bonus + equity
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM | Minimal call | Weekends off

She Recruits is proud to present an exceptional full-time opportunity for a mission-driven Primary Care Physician to lead a dedicated care team serving medically complex and elderly patients in the Torrance, CA area. This role sits within an integrated, value-based care program that blends clinical excellence with whole-person support, giving physicians the time and tools to truly make a difference.

You’ll lead a high-performing clinical team and play a key role in shaping patient outcomes through compassionate, coordinated, and continuous care. If you’re ready for meaningful patient relationships, strong team support, and leadership responsibilities without the grind of traditional fee-for-service medicine—this role is for you.

Role Overview

  • Serve as clinical lead for a multidisciplinary team focused on high-touch care for seniors

  • Provide a mix of in-clinic primary care and home-based visits as needed

  • Coordinate closely with nursing, behavioral health, social work, and rehab team members

  • Focus on continuity and prevention, not volume-based metrics

  • Participate in a light call rotation (phone-only), covering only a few evenings or weekends per month

What’s Offered
  • Competitive salary: $250,000–$280,000 based on experience

  • Quarterly performance incentives and equity grant opportunities

  • Generous benefits package including:

    • 401(k) with employer match

    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

    • CME stipend and malpractice/tail coverage

    • Paid relocation (up to $50,000)

    • $10,000 sign-on bonus

    • 17 days PTO, 6 sick days, and 12 paid holidays

  • Pathway to leadership roles, including Medical Director opportunities

  • Supportive, collaborative team culture and a patient-first model

Ideal Candidate
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or Emergency Medicine

  • Passionate about providing care for medically complex or elderly populations

  • Eligible to treat Medicare/Medi-Cal beneficiaries in California

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • No weekend clinic hours

  • Manageable patient panels allow time for relationship-based care

  • Emphasis on prevention, wellness, and quality—not volume

  • Located in Southern California, offering year-round sunshine, diverse neighborhoods, and easy access to beaches, mountains, and cultural amenities
