Procurement & Sourcing Manager

(Remote – Eastern or Central Time Zones)

  • Location: Remote (Must reside within the Eastern or Central U.S. Time Zones)
  • Travel: Up to 25% travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, and business meetings
  • Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 (pay commensurate with experience)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement initiatives for our growing component manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure cost competitiveness, quality, supply continuity, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing procurement and supplier relationship management. Experience sourcing metal and/or glass components is highly preferred. This is a remote position requiring close collaboration with operations, engineering, quality, and supplier partners throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for direct and indirect materials.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers to support business objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, contracts, terms and conditions, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Monitor market trends, material pricing, supply chain risks, and capacity constraints to proactively manage procurement strategies.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives through supplier development, value engineering, competitive bidding, and process improvements.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support new product launches, supplier transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions and escalation issues while minimizing impact to production and customer commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, quality requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, contracts, supplier records, and reporting metrics.
  • Support inventory optimization efforts while balancing service, cost, and working capital objectives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and driving measurable cost savings.
  • Experience managing supplier performance and developing strategic supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, procurement best practices, and supply chain fundamentals.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP (SAP preferred) systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience sourcing metal components, fabricated metal products, glass components, or related manufacturing materials.
  • Experience supporting component, industrial, building products, automotive, architectural, or engineered manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality systems and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or CPM.
