POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: This position supervises employees in a manufacturing environment. The production supervisor plans and assigns work to employees according to company guidelines. Implements policies and procedures. Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Responsible for day-to-day management of Production. Keeps record of employees' schedules, attendance, and performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Provide employee development. • Ensures problem-solving techniques with employee issues. • Supervises quality, production, safety, to achieve company goals. • Keeps records of employees' attendance and absenteeism. • Track production and down time. • Accountabilities. • Provide Leadership skills to employees. • Keep track of Performance Management. • Show Problem Solving/Analysis Skills. • Execute production with Time Management Skills. • Goal Driven. • Ensure employees are properly trained to do their job. • Develop goals with employees to make sure their performances are up to company standards. • Ability to lead employees. • Expected to communicate with employees. • Maintain safe and clean work areas. • Evaluating issues and providing feedback • Recognizing issues and repairs of equipment and developing new techniques. • Perform all other duties as assigned or required. Other Requirements: • This position may require frequent, last-minute overtime work over the weekend.Required Education and Experience: • Prior Supervisory experience in a manufacturing department. • Previous experience operating machinery. • Ability to operate a forklift. • High school diploma or GED is preferred. Physical Demands: • Must be able to stand for long periods, with frequent lifting, pulling, pushing. • Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 50 pounds without aid. • Must be able to work 10 hour days. • Must be able to tolerate all weather conditions, as work is in a non-climate controlled building.
