Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have meaningful previous transaction experience and the ability to captain deal execution processes. Associates will develop deliverables and work side‑by‑side with others on the deal team to create pitch materials, formulate business valuations, and prepare marketing materials. BCA operates with lean teams and Associates must be able to manage processes from pitch to close. Job Duties
  • Supports the execution and the origination of M&A transactions
  • Oversees the development of financial models, including DCF, accretion/dilution, LBO, comparable trading, and transaction analyses
  • Analyzes companies and industries and works directly with client management teams
  • Prepares pitch books, offering memoranda and management presentations
  • Serves as key point of contact for client’s management team as well as third‑party providers
  • Structures and manages deal marketing process
  • Manages several projects concurrently and works effectively both as an individual and as a leader of a team, including managing analysts
  • Participates in the recruitment, development, and training of junior bankers (analysts, summer analysts/associates, incoming classes)
  • Develops internal BDO relationships as well as external relationships through deal execution and marketing
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Education
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year institution, required; focus in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, preferred
  • Master of Business Administration, preferred
Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant investment banking, private equity or related financial services experience, preferred
License/Certifications
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63, preferred
Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and research tools such as S&P CapitalIQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, and Intralinks, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $125,000 - $175,000
Maryland Range: $125,000 - $175,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $125,000 - $175,000
