Theย Business Valuation Supervisorย oversees the execution of in-depth financial and valuation analyses employing various methodologies to provideย accurateย assessments. This role will dive into complex financial models, collaborate with clients to uncover their unique value drivers, and offer expert insights that shape their strategic decisions.ย 

Responsibilities

  • Execute in-depth financial and valuation analyses using various methodologiesย 
  • Develop complex financial models to support valuation assessmentsย 
  • Apply diverse valuation techniques such as capitalization of earnings, public company analysis, and discounted cash flow analysisย 
  • Utilize a comprehensive toolkit of valuation methodologies to ensureย accurateย and well-rounded assessmentsย 
  • Gain a deep understanding of client businesses through effective communication and management interviewsย 
  • Collaborate with clients toย identifyย key value drivers and strategic considerationsย 
  • Provideย expert-level insights and recommendations based on valuation outcomesย 
  • Produce and prepare comprehensive valuation reports detailing analysis, assumptions, and conclusions, presenting findings and insights to clients in a clear and concise mannerย 
  • Work collaboratively with team members on various engagementsย 
  • Provide leadership and guidance, and mentorship to junior analysts and interns, and leverage and supervisory experienceย 
  • Ability to perform Quality of Earnings engagements and provide related transaction advisory servicesย 
  • Share industry best practices and keep the team informed about emerging trends in business valuationย 
  • Utilize strong networking skills to cultivate andย maintainย relationships with clients, resulting in successful engagement acquisition and closureย 
  • Conduct site-visits andย assistย junior team members with completing ride-alongsย 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Masters preferredย 
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in business valuationย 
  • Industry specific certifications (CFA, ABV, ASA, or CVA)ย ย 
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis principlesย 
  • Proficiencyย in various business valuation methodologies and techniquesย 
  • Advanced skills in developing and interpreting complex financial modelsย 
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing business valuationsย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable mannerย 
  • Capacity to think strategically and contribute to clients' long-term planningย 
  • Ability to conduct high-level management interviews, extracting pertinent information to enhance valuation processesย 
  • Advanced modeling skills using tools like Excel to support valuation assessmentsย 
  • Supervisory skills to guide a team effectivelyย
