Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Valuations Analysts within our Certified Private Capital Analyst program.

This is not a traditional employment role. Valuations Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.

Once approved, Valuations Analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Gain access to paid, live valuation and transaction support work

  • Support investors, fund managers, and operators on active deals

  • Build a verified valuation track record and Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers include:
Analyst (Associate) · Lead Valuations Analyst · Senior Valuations Analyst


Analyst Levels & Pay RangesSenior Valuations Analyst
  • Rating Score: 90–100

  • Pay: $150–$200/hour

  • Typical Background: Ex-investment banking, private equity, valuation advisory, transaction services, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of valuation experience

Lead Valuations Analyst
  • Rating Score: 80–89

  • Pay: $100–$150/hour

  • Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of valuation, modeling, or transaction experience

Valuations Analyst (Associate)
  • Rating Score: 60–79

  • Pay: $50–$100/hour

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Based on certification approvals, Valuations Analysts may be engaged to perform:

Valuation & Financial Analysis
  • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis

  • LBO and transaction valuation modeling

  • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

  • Football field valuation summaries

  • Sensitivity, scenario, and downside analysis

  • Commercial real estate valuation and underwriting

Transaction & Diligence Support
  • Valuation support for investment memoranda and IC materials

  • Fairness and pricing support (non-opinion)

  • Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis

  • Risk assessment and valuation gap analysis

Note: Analysts may only perform work in valuation categories for which they are approved. Approvals are earned through assessment performance and demonstrated quality—not tenure.


How Valuations Analysts Start Earning
  1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved Initio Sphere training

  2. Receive valuation-specific approvals (DCF, Comps, LBO, CRE, QoE, etc.)

  3. Get verified on the platform

  4. Begin earning immediately through hourly valuation projects and live deals

No cold applying. No unpaid “trial work.” Verified Valuations Analysts are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.


Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)


Analyst Rating Score

Each Valuations Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Platform visibility

  • Approved valuation categories

  • Recommended hourly rates


Compensation & Deal Terms
  • Valuations Analysts are independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval scope

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues

  • Provide investment advice

  • Issue fairness opinions

  • Solicit securities

  • Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity
