Job Description
  • POSITION GOALS
    • The Esports Coach will help to develop/grow the Esports program and to provide additional support to our student-athletes.
    • The Esports Coach will remain consistent with Camden County College's acknowledgement of the inherent value and dignity of all individuals by creating and nurturing a learning and working environment that affirms and leverages our community's traditions, heritages, perspectives, and experiences. We manifest this commitment through our innovative, strategic and collaborative efforts to develop leaders who believe in and lead others toward practicing civility, mutual respect, in our workplaces and society.
  • Perform in-game coaching, teaching, and instruction from the Esports arena at the William G. Rohrer Center in Cherry Hill
  • Recruit student athletes
  • Travel with team to and from competitions (where applicable)
  • Monitor academic progress of student athletes
  • Assist with pre-game and post-game setup and production activities as needed
  • Assist with promotional activities of Cougar Esports including in-person, online and through social media
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Esports Director

Minimum Qualifications
-Strong knowledge and coaching ability in one or more of the following esports titles: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, or Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
-Familiarity with streaming platforms (such as Twitch.tv and YouTube) and streaming software.
-Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, planning, leadership, attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, and sound judgement.
-Ability and commitment to recruit, instruct, and motivate college student-athletes.
-A positive role model for young adults.
-Ability to work with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
-Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus.
