Job description

Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
  • Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging Mid Valley Family Foods Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
  • Operate processing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform duties according to product specifications and established SOPs.
  • Replenish production supplies such as bags, boxes, and labels.
  • Prepare raw materials for processing and weigh ingredients for mixing.
  • Monitor packaging and filling lines to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packaging.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and document results per quality standards.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area (housekeeping).
  • Support team goals and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Cross-train in other roles to promote operational flexibility.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Assist in the execution of the Food Safety and Quality Systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills.

    • Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 40 lbs.
    • Must be able to work in varying inside/outside conditions.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required by job assignments.
Position Requirements:
To be a successful Packaging Operator Production Team, they will need:
