Job description

Western Valley Meat is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic (5am) who will join the maintenance department. 

Shift and schedule subject to change based on business needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and completing work orders

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics

  • Observing and testing newly installed systems

  • Replacing worn seals and worn-out motors 

  • Records and reports damaged, worn or broken parts 

  • Identifies the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines

  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines

  • Need to know vacuum sealed packaging equipment

  • Working knowledge in box makers/sealers 

  • Technical troubleshooting knowledge with voltage meters.

  • Working and repair knowledge of mixers/pressing machines.

  • Sanitary design welding principles around food safety.

  • Basic elect knowledge of VFD,motor starts,contact/sensors

  • X ray equipment experience.

  • Preforms other related duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills

  • Works well independently and with others

  • Good communication skills

  • Organized with attention to details

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
