Class A CDL Driver - Vacaville, CA

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour (DOE)

Valley Iron is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our Vacaville team. If you take pride in providing excellent customer service, operating safely, and being part of a hardworking team, we'd love to hear from you.

This position involves delivering customer orders in a timely manner while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. When deliveries are complete, you'll assist with yard and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Class A bobtail or tractor-trailer truck.
  • Deliver customer orders accurately and on time.
  • Pull and prepare orders for delivery.
  • Load, unload, secure, tarp, and chain materials as needed.
  • Climb on and off trailers and equipment safely.
  • Inspect trucks before and after each trip.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and ELD records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Verify load measurements and ensure cargo is properly secured.
  • Keep trucks clean and well-maintained.
  • Follow all DOT, company, and safety procedures.
  • Report equipment issues or incidents promptly.
  • Assist in the yard and warehouse when not making deliveries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Valid California Class A CDL (Required)
  • Valid DOT Medical Card (Required)
  • Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred (tractor-trailer and flatbed experience is a plus)
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to climb trailers and forklifts safely
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
  • Must meet FMCSA English language proficiency requirements under 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2)
