Job description

Lead Scheduling Specialist
Contingent Upon Contract Award and Customer Approval

Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a full-time Lead Scheduling Specialist to oversee the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW), in Wallops Island, VA.
Job Description:
  • Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify and assess potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Gathers facts, analyzes data, and prepares project synopsis comparing alternatives; recommends action and prepares specifications.
  • Determines and resolves data collection problems and coordinates the work with personnel.
  • Adapts operational and test approaches successfully used in precedent systems.
  • Performs research documentation development.
  • Plans and conducts or directs personnel in performing complex experiments to test, prove or modify propositions on the basis of research findings.
  • Prepares technical reports for use by engineering, scientific, operational, or management personnel for planning, or by personnel in technical services activities.
Qualifications:
  • Must have High School Diploma and GED and at least 7 years overall experience with Aegis or SSDS combat system baseline configurations, to include supporting elements and equipment, communication systems, and a good understanding of the interdependencies and interfaces associated with these systems.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in the de-confliction of complex events and shared equipment; concise and accurate understanding of items that impact current and future scheduled events; ability to generate high-level and detailed projections; ability to forecast complex schedules; proficiency using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) along with other database programs.
  • Must have 3 years of experience utilizing the scheduling tool is required.
Security Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Prefer an Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel up to 25%.
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
