Summary:

The Business Analyst - Quality Assurance Analyst, Connected Vehicle, Information Technology is a dual role responsible for supporting Connect Vehicle IT department in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance activities. The position is part of a larger team focusing on gathering requirements, business care development, quality assurance testing, and IT user acceptance testing coordination in support of all Connected Vehicle IT projects.

This role will have strong skills in work-plan development and progress tracking, who will prepare and present updates to relevant project channels, ensuring that our goal of transparency and communication is achieved. The role will produce documentation and communicate functional features, characteristics, and requirements throughout the organization, ensuring that system specifications operate in alignment with business requirements. This position will support all QA validation testing efforts for in-vehicle validation in bring exceptional digital experiences to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working under general supervision, executes in an assigned BA/QA area of responsibility both independently and as a part of a larger project team
  • Collaborates with project stakeholders (IT & Connected Business) to develop effective business use cases to support Connected Vehicle projects
  • Work with team members and business partners to define project scope, objectives, and timelines that align with organization, program and project goals
  • Develops QA test cases, test plans, and regression test suites tied to defined requirements
  • Ensures proper coverage and alignment of QA test plans with business requirements
  • Collaborates with others as part of a larger IT team in coordinated team efforts
  • Contributes to the organization with process improvement ideas and recommendations
  • Promotes continuous improvement of BA/QA processes and supports the broader IT team in efforts to improve service quality in general
  • Ensure that all aspects of projects are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project plans, tracking overall progress and achievement of milestones
  • Report project risks, mitigations, and outcomes to appropriate management channels; escalating issues according to project work plan
  • Deepen partnerships within our organization as well as with outside resources, including third-party vendors
  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope or timeline to achieve optimal results
  • Document and follow-up on actions and decisions from meetings
  • Develops comprehensive understanding of business processes and build strong working rapport with business users.
  • Prepare meeting presentation materials
  • Assist in coordinating project and change estimations
  • Ensures projects adhere to the project management frameworks and all documentation is maintained
  • Ensure that standard change management procedures are followed
  • Participate in Business Requirements validation, compilation and documentation
  • Participate in vehicle technology validation testing

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience OR proven BA and/or QA experience and growth
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong proficiency in comprehensive quality assurance testing
  • Proactive self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements.
  • Excellent communicator with strong business analysis and reporting skills.
  • Time management and ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 tools, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Strong proficiency in Jira and Confluence
  • Familiar with all aspects of SDLC (Agile and waterfall software development methodology experience)
  • General knowledge and understanding of one or more test automation platforms
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Experience in working with offshore teams
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
