Description
Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Project Manager to join our team! The Project Manager will oversee our homebuilding projects, ensuring the highest quality-built homes and on-time completion throughout Philadelphia County as part of our new Founders Row Building Group division. The person in this role will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and budget limitations.  
  • Supervise daily construction operations, including management of labor, equipment, and materials.  
  • Track construction progress, identify and resolve issues promptly to maintain the project schedule.  
  • Work closely with Sr. management, engineers, and contractors to facilitate effective communication and resolve on-site conflicts or discrepancies.  
  • Ensure all construction work aligns with design specifications and local building codes. 
  • Review construction plans to accurately interpret and execute the intended designs.  
  • Order building materials and manage community assets and site budgets
  • Perform regular site safety inspections 
  • Conduct quality control inspections


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of professional construction project management experience.
  • Experience with building in the city of Philadelphia. Must have knowledge of city ordinances, RCO’s and L&I
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Customer relations experience a plus
  • OSHA30 certification is strongly preferred
