Job description

Your Contribution 

As a Validation Lab Technician, reporting to the Head of AC Testing - NA, you will be responsible for conducting performance and durability testing of automotive HVAC and engine cooling components. Duties include installation/removal of test parts, instrumentation, running tests, and collecting data. Works with engineers to understand test requirements. 

This role is responsible to:

  • Set up HVAC systems and components for testing 
  • Diagnose refrigeration systems 
  • Install instrumentation for temperature, pressure, flow 
  • Interface with test systems 
  • Execute testing procedures 
  • Interpret test data and report issues 
  • Troubleshoot and repair test equipment 
  • Cross-train across test lab areas 
  • Maintain clean work area 
  • No supervisory responsibilities 

Your Experience & Qualifications  

  • AAS in Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent 
  • 3-5 years automotive experience preferred 
  • ASE certification preferred 
  • EPA 608 certification preferred 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Fluent in English, strong written and verbal skills 
  • Apply high school math concepts 
  • Problem solving and data analysis skills
