Summary

We are looking for a Validation Engineer to ensure product and system quality. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate engineering systems based on safety and performance standards. The Validation Engineer will oversee, evaluate, and calibrate equipment, systems, and procedures used in the development and production of products and will ensure safety, quality, and purity requirements are met. Troubleshooting and maintaining equipment will also be part of your duties.To succeed in this role, you must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills. If you are organized, detail-oriented and have a strong engineering background, we'd like to meet you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Establish performance, quality and success criteria for system validation.
  • Create and run system tests based on appropriate protocols
  • Evaluate engineering systems and processes for areas of improvement
  • Prepare and maintain testing setup including equipment
  • Maintain accurate activity logs of procedures, and results
  • Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies identified during validation.
  • Working collaboratively with relevant engineers to implement corrective actions.
  • Flexible to support other engineering functions such as firmware or software as needed.


Qualifications:

Education, Experience, Knowledge: 

  • Previous experience as a validation engineer or in a similar engineering role
  • Strong understanding of testing processes
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies as needed to stay current in the field of validation engineering.
  • Capacity to quickly assess and adjust validation strategies in response to changing project demands and constraints.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in handling unexpected challenges or obstacles during validation processes.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple validation projects simultaneously, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in analyzing firmware and software architecture, including understanding data flow, communication protocols, and system interactions.
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting firmware and software issues using relevant tools and techniques.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in testing procedures
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Expert in SQL for data analysis
  • Strong English skills verbally and written proficiency for documentation
  • Emphasis on clear and transparent documentation of validation processes, results, and findings to support a culture of accountability and quality assurance.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
