Job description

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support design and analysis of AC-DC and DC-DC power systems under guidance of senior engineers
  • Assist with integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical hardware
  • Develop test procedures and documentation for power electronics validation
  • Perform component research and support trade studies for power system solutions
  • Design cable assemblies and support PCB development efforts
  • Generate technical documentation including schematics, test reports, and design specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including layout designers and test engineers
  • Learn and apply military standards and best practices for power system design

  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
  • Exposure to schematic capture tools (OrCAD, Altium, or similar)
  • Understanding of common communication interfaces (RS-422, RS-485, UART, SPI, I2C)
  • Coursework in control systems or feedback loop analysis
  • Basic understanding of PCB design considerations
  • Familiarity with transformer or inductor design principles
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC concepts
  • Experience with microcontrollers or embedded systems
  • Internship or co-op experience in power electronics or hardware design
