Position Overview
United Valet Service is seeking a Lead Valet to oversee daily valet operations at an upscale restaurant in Houston. This role serves as the on-site point of accountability, ensuring service standards are executed consistently while supporting, directing, and holding the valet team to a high level of performance.
This is a working leadership role. You will be actively parking vehicles while managing flow, guest experience, and team execution in real time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct valet team during each shift to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Set the tone for guest experience by modeling proper greeting, urgency, and professionalism
  • Manage traffic flow, staging, and vehicle retrieval to minimize wait times
  • Monitor team performance, including appearance, phone usage, and service standards
  • Ensure proper key control, ticket handling, and vehicle tracking at all times
  • Address guest concerns or service issues on the spot and escalate when necessary
  • Train new valet drivers on procedures, safety, and hospitality expectations
  • Communicate with restaurant management and United Valet Service leadership as needed
  • Ensure the valet stand and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and presentable

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of valet experience required
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Strong operational awareness and ability to manage high-volume service
  • Professional, composed, and decisive under pressure
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
