POSITION SUMMARY:  
Outside Service and Valet Ambassadors are the primary point of contact to assist in servicing the needs of the membership and their guests with regards to golf matters and summer valet needs.  Duties associated with this position including: Delivering an outdoor hospitality experience of the highest quality, meeting and greeting members and guests in a professional manor; communicating positively, and effectively with co-workers and management staff, maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment; assisting in other areas of the club as needed. The Outside Service and Valet Ambassador will also seek opportunities to create memories by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building relationships.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Outside Service Ambassador
  • Provide excellent customer services, professional advice, and assistance to all patrons.
  • Greet all members and their guests attending to and anticipating their needs.
  • Assist with member guest check-in.
  • Maintain a 56 car golf car fleet and seven utility vehicles in impeccable condition at all times.
  • Assist in managing and implementing tournaments.
  • Set up daily and maintain one of the finest practice fields in existence, to include instruction area.
  • Keep fiscal responsibility and member satisfaction in mind when making all decisions.
  • Take part in keeping Martis Camp clean and litter free. Cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility, take ownership in the Club.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Martis Camp standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club.
  • Comply at all times with Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient Club operations.
Valet
  • Welcome with personal greeting each vehicle that enters and leaves the valet operations. 
  • Handle vehicles with care and be knowledgeable and proficient in driving in all different types of vehicles.
  • Be knowledge and able to safely drive in inclement weather.
  • Be knowledgeable about club events and functions in key areas of the club.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Must have a clean driving record to be able to perform valet functions.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.  Must be able to work early or late shifts.
  • Willingness to provide friendly and professional hospitality to members and their guest.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Ability to safely lift/carry/move up to 60 pounds to get member bags/equipment in and out of the vehicle
  • Abilty to walk, run, stand for hours at a time.
  • Ability to twist, kneel, and bend repeatedly when assisting members and during vehicle moving
  • While performing the Outside Service duties, exposure to outside inclement weather conditions, including cold weather, snow and ice are likely
