Position Summary
As a valet staff member of the rental department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and following the complete organization of our valet/overnight storage system for guests. You will need to manage lines, ensure the correct gear is being handed out, and enjoy creating an awesome experience for both valet guests and rental guests. During downtime, you may be asked to assist in rentals with boot fitting as needed. Starting late morning every day, you will need to ensure all guests are being assisted with proper storage of their equipment. If a valet guest gets a tune or a wax, you will need to help ensure this gear gets put back in the correct valet slots. Accurate, speedy, and friendly service is a must for the entirety of your shift each day. This is an inside and outside job, and you may be asked to assist with shoveling on occasion, assist with moving ski racks outside, and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
Essential Duties & Major Responsibilities
  • Have competent product knowledge of valet services, overnight storage services, and rental products.
  • Understand all procedures for the point-of-sale system.
  • Practice safe operating procedures while using all equipment, tools, and machines.
  • Help guests accurately and in a timely manner with every guest-facing transaction.
  • Properly check gear back in correctly and hand guests any claim tickets necessary.
  • Assist with rental boot fitting as needed.
  • Must obtain excellent knowledge of the mountain, including but not limited to: lodges, lifts, terrain, and operating schedules.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Must be able to self-manage and support co-workers with teamwork on daily projects.
  • This is an indoor/outdoor job that requires long periods of exposure to the elements as well as prolonged periods of standing, reaching, and bending.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Job Scope
MtBachelor Rental Shop is the largest in Central Oregon. The team works together in a very fast-paced atmosphere. Our staff is required to be knowledgeable and professional. Our staff must be passionate about the sport and willing to use their knowledge to assist our guests in selecting the products (rentals, lessons, lift tickets) that best fit their needs.
Secondary Function
Assist other stations in the rental shop such as boot fitting and DIN set-up. Assist in snow removal (shoveling) of Rental shop's designated areas. Assist in day/overnight storage of ski equipment/ and or weekend and holiday outside ski check attending. Assist in moving ski racks onto the snow in the morning and replacing them at the end of the day. Assist in housekeeping of work areas - clean and vacuum as needed. Assist with other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Skills
  • License/Certification: Must pass certification test with binding manufacturers.
  • Technical: Some mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Capabilities: The ability to push 50 lbs of force at a height of 42", willing to stand outside in all weather conditions while running Corral.

Education/Related Experience
  • Minimum Education: High School or Equivalent Required.
  • Minimum time in related position: 1 year in customer service, retail, hospitality, or related customer service experience.
