JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceed the expectation of every guest by genuinely creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude and by providing outstanding service every time.
BASIC FUNCTION: A Valet Attendant provides exceptional arrival and departure experiences by safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles while also assisting guests with luggage, room escorts, and resort transportation. This position includes valet parking, porter services, and shuttle driving responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
Ability to meet all requirements for operating resort passenger vehicles.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Welcome guests immediately upon arrival.
  • Open vehicle doors and assist with unloading luggage.
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles.
  • Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and document existing damage when appropriate.
  • Issue and manage valet claim tickets.
  • Escort guests to the Front Desk, guestrooms, and outlets as needed.
  • Assist with luggage delivery and retrieval.
  • Operate resort shuttle vehicles as assigned.
  • Transport guests and associates safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of resort vehicles.
  • Complete vehicle inspection and mileage logs.
  • Monitor valet parking areas and maintain traffic flow.
  • Assist with room deliveries and guest requests.
  • Provide resort information and local recommendations.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle damage immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MARIGINAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
  • Any other task, written or verbal, assigned by Management.
  • Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations.
  • Adhere to the policies of the Resort as set forth in the Employee Handbook and report any observe violations to Human Resources.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.
