Job description

Position Summary:

The Valet/Transportation Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Valet and Transportation Departments.  Duties include directly supervising hourly Team Members, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, record-keeping, and dispatching vehicles.  Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.


Essential Functions:

1.    Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

2.    Oversee daily operations of Valet and Transportation Departments.

3.    Directly oversee Valet/Transportation Supervisors, Valets, Valet Leads, Bus Drivers and Limo Drivers including supervising daily activity, scheduling, coaching and disciplinary action.

4.    Complete daily tasks including, but not limited to, monitoring inventory, payroll and timekeeping, purchasing, billing, vehicle registration, and record keeping.

5.    Consistently look to improve the Valet and Transportation Departments by coaching Team Members and recognizing good behavior.

6.    Identify and recommend improvements to the shuttle service, including identifying new locations for shuttle stops.
7.    Participate in interviewing and selection of candidates for open positions.

8.    Ensure that all company vehicles are maintained to a Four-Diamond standard.

9.    Respond to Guest inquiries regarding transportation and valet.

10.    Assist with Transportation dispatching as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.    High school diploma or equivalent required.

2.    One (1) year of previous supervisory experience is required.

3.    Experience is valet or transportation operations is preferred.

4.    Must have a strong knowledge of/or the ability to learn applicable Department of Transportation regulations including DOT mandated drug and alcohol test requirements.
5.    Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.  
6.    Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.

7.    Must have strong leadership qualities are including excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate, and a positive attitude.

8.    Must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to multitask.

9.    Must be at least 21 years of age.

10.    Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.


Physical Requirements:

1.    Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

2.    Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of shift.

3.    Must be able to assist with all Valet operations as necessary.

4.    Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.


Work Conditions:

Work is typically conducted both in an office environment and outdoors, including during periods of inclement weather.  Work may also be conducted in the casino, which may be hot, cold, noisy, and be in the presence of secondhand smoke.  Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp.  These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area.  Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.  Work hours and days may be revised as company needs and workplace circumstances dictate.
