Synergy Mental Health & Wellness Integrated (SMHWI) is an established outpatient mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. Our team offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Spravatoยฎ (esketamine), Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), and other innovative mental health services.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing team in Rockwall, Texas. This position provides both in-person and telehealth psychiatric services in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, compassionate, and able to communicate professionally with patients, families, colleagues, and community partners.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide medication management, including prescribing, monitoring effectiveness, and managing side effects.
  • Conduct follow-up psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation within the electronic health record (Valant EHR).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and provider meetings.
  • Utilize telehealth technology to provide high-quality virtual psychiatric services as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and clinic policies.
  • Stay current with psychiatric best practices, clinical guidelines, and continuing education requirements.
  • Support a patient-centered culture focused on compassion, quality, and accessibility.
  • Active, unrestricted Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. Additionally, having a Colorado license is a plus.
  • Active license to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health specialization.
  • DEA registration and Texas Controlled Substance Registration (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Electronic Health Records (Valant EHR experience preferred).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional.
Preferred
  • Experience in an outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health setting.
  • Experience providing telepsychiatry services.
  • Experience treating children, adolescents, and/or adults.
  • Experience with TMS, Spravatoยฎ, or other specialty behavioral health services is a plus.
