Job Details:

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Surgical Services

Location: Arlington, VA

Setting: Hospital

Pay Range: 1288.03 - 1352.43

Schedule: 15:00 - 23:30

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: Must have a minimum of 2 years central sterile processing experience; CRSCT/ or CBSPD certification required

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble surgical instrument trays and case carts according to pick sheets, accurately and completely
  • Proficient with the use of an instrument tracking system; Censitrac experience preferred
  • Manage instrumentation for service lines including Orthopedics, Podiatry, General (including laparoscopic), Neuro, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Ophthalmology, Cardiac
  • Decontaminate soiled/used supplies and equipment
  • Proficient with steam and low temperature sterilization methods
  • Conduct quality monitoring of equipment, instruments, and supplies for cleaning and decontamination
  • Run the dispatch phone with supervision, providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service
  • Pick up used equipment and supplies from nursing units as needed
