  • Number of Beds - 18
  • Number of Staff –
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – 1 Charge, 3-4 RNs, 2 PCTs
    • Night Shift - 1 Charge, 3-4 RNs 2 PCTS
  • Patient Ratios – RN 5:1
  • Type of equipment – Client wireless telemetry boxes and welch Allen vital sign machines.
  • EMR – Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • Minimum 1-year current acute care Telemetry RN experience
  • BLS & ACLS

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • NIH Certification
  • Trauma/ortho experience
  • Neuro/stroke experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

  • Neurovascular checks on limbs, frequent ambulation/repositioning
  • Orthopedic precautions, comprehensive pain control

Floor does have several staff members with over 10 years of experience on the unit. Teamwork focused unit that welcomes new staff and always offers to help assist. The team love their peers and work well together. We treat a wide variety of trauma and orthopedic injuries. They can see blunt force trauma, poly trauma, SCIs, GSWs, stabbings, and standard tele patients: chest pain, stroke work ups, chronic cardiac conditions-CHF, Afib, RVR, TBIs
