Job description

Lead Breast Imaging Services and Make a Difference in the Lives of Veterans

The Miami VA Healthcare System is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist with expertise in Breast Imaging and Mammography to join our team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician who wants to combine advanced breast imaging, clinical leadership, patient care, and teaching in one of South Florida’s leading healthcare systems.

The physician will serve as a key clinical leader for the Breast Imaging Center, providing comprehensive multimodality breast imaging services while helping ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for Veterans.

The Opportunity

  • Provide comprehensive screening and diagnostic breast imaging services.
  • Interpret mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
  • Perform and interpret ultrasound- and stereotactic-guided breast biopsies.
  • Review prior imaging and correlate findings with relevant clinical information.
  • Provide clear, comprehensive diagnostic reports and recommendations.
  • Consult with patients regarding imaging findings and recommended follow-up.
  • Collaborate with referring and ordering providers to determine appropriate imaging studies.
  • Review orders and establish modality-specific imaging protocols.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical care and consultation.
  • Help oversee and support the continued development of the Breast Imaging Center.
