About Us: Our organization is a leading provider of independent medical evaluations, committed to assisting United States Veterans throughout the VA's disability benefits process. Our goal is to offer comprehensive, unbiased, and empathetic medical assessments that facilitate timely and precise disability evaluations.

Position Overview: We are in search of a skilled and committed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to perform medical evaluations for veterans. This position is solely focused on independent assessments and does not include treatment responsibilities. You will be tasked with reviewing medical histories, conducting thorough evaluations, and filling out VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via a secure online platform. These evaluations will aid the VA in making informed disability decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Examine and interpret veterans' medical records through a secure web interface.
  • Conduct detailed, non-treating evaluations of veterans to document their current health status.
  • Complete and submit DBQs using VA-specific templates to ensure all pertinent medical information is captured.
  • Guarantee that all DBQs are comprehensive, precise, and submitted within 24 hours of the evaluation.
  • Evaluate up to four veterans each day.

Work Schedule: One day per month or two half days every other week.

Compensation: Daily rate ranging from $1,200 to $1,400, based on experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Current MD or DO license with a focus on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
  • Excellent typing skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial.
