Job description

PRISM seeks a VoIP Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have a strong understanding of voice and data networking technologies, focusing on Voice over IP (VoIP) systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach. Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain VoIP systems, including IP PBXs, softphones, and other related hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex VoIP network issues, such as voice quality problems, call failures and network congestion.
Configure and optimize VoIP networks for optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Monitor network performance metrics and proactively identify potential issues.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VoIP systems with existing network infrastructure.
Stay up-to-date with the latest VoIP technologies and industry best practices.
Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications: Qualifications
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
14+ years of IT network engineering experience, including Tier II/III support and infrastructure implementation.
Expertise in voice systems (Unclassified, Secure, TDM, VoIP).
Experience supporting government clients in secure environments (NIPRNET, SIPRNET).
Proficiency in network security, including change order review and risk assessment.
Strong understanding of cabling standards and termination techniques.
Experience managing technical teams in a government environment. Desired Skills and Experience
ITIL Foundation certification.
Network certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, Aruba, BICSI).
Familiarity with government security standards (DoS, FAHs, FAMs).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
