Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Usability Researcher in Redmond, WA.
Summary:
The main function of a Usability Researcher is to research the user experience of our products in local, regional, or national areas to determine user satisfaction, pain points and opportunities to address these for the product or service. A typical usability researcher is responsible for identifying research questions, planning studies that may include both qualitative and quantitative methods, reporting on key findings, and working with the team to make necessary product improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
* Conduct research on target audience opinions and user experience of product features, collaborating with the broader user research team, designers, product management, marketing, applied science and engineering
* Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, interviews, unmoderated testing, or arrange to obtain existing data
* Gather data on competitors to understand the competitive landscape, user experience and perceptions
* Measure the effectiveness of in product and proposed user experience for the product
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or relevant Psychology degree (Masters/ PhD preferred) or equivalent training required
* 2-4 years of experience with mixed methods research
* 1-2 years of experience collecting, synthesizing, and reporting summaries from quantitative and qualitative data, conducting competitive analysis, and identifying user experience opportunities
* 1-2 years of experience with UX benchmark type research
* 1-2 years of experience with project management, organizing, and planning are critical
* 1-2 years of experience with qualitative research experience is necessary, in addition to quantitative skills, for a balanced approach to research
* Hand-on experience using Excel
* Experience leveraging AI and know how to verify the output and ask the right prompts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
