Position Title: Sales Operations Analyst
Reports To: Director of Sales
Location: Cincinnati, OH

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, ranging from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal; innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents; to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sales Data Analyst is a non-quota, non-commissioned analytical role responsible for serving as the commercial team's source of truth for sales, customer, product, pipeline, forecasting, and performance data. The position supports Sales, Marketing, Leadership, and Operations by transforming CRM and business system data into actionable insights that drive business performance, forecasting, operational planning, and strategic decision-making. 

The role serves as the organization's primary sales analytics and Salesforce administration resource and does not engage in direct selling activities or customer account management. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Serve as an admin-level Salesforce user responsible for maintaining data quality and integrity, building and managing reports and dashboards, supporting user adoption, and administering approved system configurations and workflow enhancements. 

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute sales, customer, product, pipeline, forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring business information is accurate, timely, consistent, and decision-ready. 

  • Monitor sales performance, forecast accuracy, pipeline activity, KPI attainment, and commercial trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership and the sales team. 

  • Support forecasting, sales planning, target development, capacity analysis, and business review processes through data analysis, performance reporting, and commercial insights. 

  • Analyze sales, customer, marketing, and operational data to identify performance gaps, growth opportunities, cross-sell and upsell potential, white-space opportunities, emerging trends, and areas for process improvement while ensuring commercial insights remain grounded in operational and business realities. 

  • Own and maintain performance reporting utilized in one-on-one reviews, sales meetings, quarterly business reviews, leadership reviews, board updates, and executive presentations. 

  • Support the sales team with KPI, performance, customer, and marketing data, helping individuals and teams understand where they stand, where opportunities exist, and where attention should be focused. 

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Leadership to ensure consistent reporting standards, data accuracy, effective use of business information, and alignment between commercial objectives and operational capabilities. 

  • Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights and proactively anticipate future reporting, analytical, and business intelligence needs by developing tools, reporting structures, and dashboards before they are requested. 

AUTHORITY & SCOPE: 

  • Non-quota, non-commissioned position with no direct selling or customer ownership responsibilities. 

  • Maintains designated Salesforce administrative, reporting, and data management responsibilities within assigned authority levels. 

  • Exercises independent judgment in analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business intelligence activities. 

  • Works under general direction with significant autonomy in analytical and reporting functions. 

  • Provides recommendations and insights that influence business decisions but does not independently establish commercial strategy or organizational policy. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Information Systems, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 

  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, Commercial Operations, or a related analytical role supporting B2B sales organizations; manufacturing, industrial, or defense experience preferred. 

  • Advanced Salesforce Administrator or power-user experience, including report development, dashboard creation, data management, user support, opportunity management, and pipeline analytics; Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred. 

  • Experience developing sales forecasting models, KPI reporting, dashboards, business intelligence solutions, executive reporting, and commercial analytics, including marketing performance and ROI analysis. 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with experience using Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce CRM Analytics, SQL, or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools. 

  • Strong understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, performance analytics, data governance, and the relationship between commercial performance and manufacturing or operational environments. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations and effectively collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. 

  • Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, anticipate business needs, and proactively improve reporting and analytics. 

POSITON-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 

  • Occasional entry into production, warehouse, or operational areas may be required and will require compliance with applicable safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business, commercial, customer, pricing, forecasting, and sales performance information. 

  • Position requires regular access to and analysis of sensitive business and commercial data.
