Job Description
Victaulic, a global leader in mechanical pipe joining solutions and fire protection systems, is looking for a creative and curious junior-level UX/UI Designer to join our growing digital team. As a company with 13 manufacturing facilities and 28 branches worldwide, Victaulic is committed to evolving its digital experiences to match the innovation embedded in its products.
In this role, you will help shape the way our internal teams, customers, and partners interact with our digital tools and platforms - making complex industrial processes more intuitive and accessible through thoughtful design. You will work at the intersection of user research, design, and tech, contributing to products and platforms that support a global workforce and customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Design intuitive and visually engaging digital products, interfaces, and experiences that meet the needs of Victaulic's diverse internal and external users.
Create wireframes and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and development teams.
Champion user-friendly and accessible design practices, ensuring deliverables meet established accessibility standards such as WCAG guidelines across all digital touchpoints.
Work within and contribute to Victaulic's design system, supporting its creation, maintenance, and consistent application across products and platforms.
Participate in design reviews and iterative testing cycles, using input from users and stakeholders to continuously refine and improve your designs.
Approach design challenges with strong problem-solving skills, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities to arrive at practical, elegant solutions.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Experience
0-2 years of professional or academic experience in UX/UI design. Internship or project-based experience is welcome and encouraged.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite, with familiarity in other design and other prototyping tools.
A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards, interactive design, and visual problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and polished UI designs.
Pluses
Basic front-end coding skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with low-code platforms such as Mendix, Salesforce, or SharePoint.
Experience working with or contributing to a design system.
