Job description

The Sr. UX Program Design Lead serves as the primary point of accountability for a 6-month, Agile-driven redesign of an enterprise web application.

This role blends program management discipline with hands‑on UX leadership — overseeing delivery, stakeholder relationships, sprint execution, and design quality.

The Program Lead will guide a cross‑functional team of five across research, design, and front‑end development, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets or exceeds client acceptance criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end program delivery: sprint planning, milestone tracking, risk escalation, and stakeholder communication
  • Lead daily collaboration with client stakeholders (IT, product, business) and align team output to acceptance criteria defined in JIRA user stories
  • Drive UX design quality across screen designs and interactive workflows in Figma, adhering to the client’s design system
  • Oversee information architecture (IA) development and ensure alignment between IA, user flows, and Angular component structure
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer and handoff documentation to the client IT development team upon project completion
  • Manage SOW scope, budget tracking, and change management
  • Lead team in producing: product backlog (JIRA), application workflows (FigJam/Miro), UI designs, and interactive Figma prototype
  • Serve as primary quality reviewer across all deliverables before client submission
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in UX program or project management, leading cross‑functional teams on enterprise digital engagements
  • 6+ years of human‑centered design experience: IA, UX workflows, UI design, and interactive prototyping
  • Demonstrated experience managing Agile Scrum teams (sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, velocity tracking)
  • Proficiency in Figma for design review, IA documentation, and prototype evaluation
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence for backlog management and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508 compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to communicate at both executive and tactical levels; experienced in client‑facilitating facilitation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience overseeing front‑end development (Angular, HTML/CSS) teams in an integrated design+dev engagement
  • Familiarity with design system implementation (component libraries, token governance)
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification
  • HFI or CUA certification
  • Experience in professional consulting environments
Tools

Figma, FigJam, Miro, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, Microsoft 365

Education
