UW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Materials Handling Aide 2 (Temp, Per Diem)

WORK SCHEDULE

  • This is a fixed duration appointment, anticipated to be 12 months in duration.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

UW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances our patient care experience by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Put away supplies into clean rooms, carts, and other supply locations utilizing proper rotation

  • Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for both stock and non-stock items

  • Pick supplies utilizing a Zebra Handheld device for tech orders

  • Check various supply locations for product expiration dates and removal according to policy

  • Perform basic disinfection, storage, and distribution of minor equipment

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies

  • Perform issues and credits in Workday, ensuring the cost of the items are allocated appropriately

  • Utilize various computer technologies such as handhelds, package scanners, and software programs

  • Manage rental equipment, including rounding in nursing areas, verifying correct charges, ordering needed equipment, and discontinuing unneeded equipment

  • Answer phone calls and emails and respond to customer service requests

REQUIREMENTS

High school graduation AND 6 months of supply chain experience

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
