Job Description:ย ย 

  • Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for Plant Operations, including building maintenance, biomedical services, and hazardous waste management across all PMC locations and Helen Porter.ย 

  • Ensure all facilities meet regulatory and accreditation standards including CMS, OSHA, Life Safety Codes, and other applicable compliance requirements.ย 

  • Oversee maintenance of hospital infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, medical equipment, utility systems, and grounds to ensure safe, efficient operation.ย 

  • Lead, coach, and manage performance of the Plant Operations Manager and technical staff.ย 

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, safety protocols, and operational procedures toย optimizeย facility performance.ย 

  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation.ย 

  • Coordinate facility-related projects, renovations, and improvements in collaboration with internal teams and UVM Health Network partners.ย 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for facility safety concerns, corrective actions, and emergency response planning.ย 

  • Ensureย appropriate documentation, reporting, and tracking of all maintenance and compliance activities.ย 

  • Represent the organization as a member of the UVM Health Network Facilities Leadership Council.ย 

  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department.ย
