Academic Lab Assistant
Posting Summary
This role will facilitate and instruct multiple chemistry laboratory sections each semester. Duties include preparing for labs and office hours, leading lab sections through assigned experiments, upholding safety standards, holding office hours, attending course trainings and meetings, grading lab work, and assisting with administration of the course exams.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and one year related laboratory experience required. Thorough understanding of general chemistry concepts and general chemistry laboratory methods required.
Desirable Qualifications
Prior teaching experience desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range
$24.96 -$26.70

Please note this position is 1.0 FTE , 9-month term from August 16 - May 15 annually.
