Position SummaryLiving Earth is seeking an experienced, results-oriented Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the financial, operational, commercial, safety, customer service, and people performance of an assigned geographic region. Working closely with the General Manager, District Managers, Site Managers, and corporate support functions, the Assistant General Manager helps ensure consistent execution of company standards, achievement of business objectives, and effective resolution of operational issues. This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for assigned locations, projects, business functions, and regional initiatives, and the Assistant General Manager may assume delegated General Manager responsibilities as business needs require.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork directly with the General Manager to support all aspects of managing a Living Earth region, including operations, financial performance, sales, customer service, safety, employee leadership, and business strategy.Support execution of regional operating plans, performance objectives, strategic priorities, and company initiatives, and assume delegated responsibility for portions of regional operations as assigned by the General Manager.Maintain a strong working understanding of Living Earth operations, including production, material processing, inventory management, distribution, transportation, equipment utilization, site readiness, customer service, and workforce management.Visit and support assigned Living Earth locations to evaluate site operations, reinforce company standards, and address differences in market, facility, staffing, and operational needs.Evaluate site and regional performance using financial statements, budgets, forecasts, operational metrics, sales trends, labor data, inventory information, productivity measures, safety performance, and customer service indicators.Analyze regional profit and loss performance, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, labor costs, operating expenses, inventory, capital expenditures, and profitability, and identify opportunities to improve results.Assist with the development and monitoring of regional budgets, forecasts, operating plans, performance objectives, and strategic priorities.Research and analyze financial or operational variances and partner with the General Manager to develop corrective action plans and performance improvement strategies.Participate in regular business reviews, operational meetings, financial reviews, leadership meetings, and planning sessions.Assist the General Manager with establishing and reinforcing performance expectations for District Managers, Site Managers, and other regional leaders.Participate in and support coaching, performance management, leadership development, accountability, and succession-planning activities with regional leaders.Coach, motivate, develop, and hold managers accountable for financial, operational, safety, customer service, and employee performance within assigned areas of responsibility.Assume responsibility for designated projects, locations, departments, operational initiatives, or business functions as assigned by the General Manager.Provide temporary or supplemental leadership support at locations experiencing vacancies, performance challenges, increased business demands, or other operational needs.Assist District Managers and Site Managers with identifying and resolving operational, staffing, equipment, inventory, customer, and employee issues.Conduct site visits and operational reviews to evaluate facility conditions, customer service, production, inventory, staffing, safety, equipment utilization, housekeeping, documentation, and compliance with company standards.Ensure compliance with company expectations regarding inventory controls, purchasing, cash handling, expense authorization, equipment management, internal controls, and protection of company assets.Assist with evaluating labor utilization, overtime, productivity, staffing levels, schedules, and other workforce-related expenses.Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, corrective action, investigations, succession planning, training, and employment practices.Participate in leadership selection, interviewing, onboarding, training, and development activities as assigned.Consistently follow company requirements related to progressive discipline, employee relations, terminations, and required Human Resources involvement.Support leadership development and succession planning by identifying high-performing and high-potential employees and helping strengthen the regional leadership pipeline.Maintain knowledge of company safety policies, environmental requirements, incident-reporting procedures, training requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.Participate in safety meetings, inspections, incident reviews, corrective action planning, and other safety initiatives while reinforcing safe work practices throughout the region.Maintain a strong understanding of customer acquisition, customer retention, pricing, product offerings, market conditions, sales strategies, and the relationship between customer service and profitability.Partner with Sales and operational leadership to align customer needs, service delivery, pricing, operational capacity, and financial performance.Participate in significant customer meetings or escalated customer-service matters as assigned and maintain productive relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, employees, managers, and support departments.Evaluate competitive activity, market conditions, pricing trends, customer needs, and opportunities for business growth, and communicate significant observations to the General Manager.Lead or participate in operational improvement projects designed to improve productivity, profitability, workflow, inventory management, equipment utilization, technology utilization, labor efficiency, or customer service.Assist with implementing new systems, policies, procedures, technology, training programs, and company initiatives throughout the assigned region.Effectively use company systems, financial reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and other technology necessary to monitor and manage business performance.Assist with capital planning and the evaluation of equipment, facility, vehicle, technology, and infrastructure needs.Participate in acquisitions, integrations, expansions, new-location openings, consolidations, or other strategic projects as assigned.Respond effectively to significant operational disruptions, emergencies, equipment failures, staffing shortages, customer issues, severe weather, and other business continuity events.Communicate regularly with the General Manager regarding assigned responsibilities, business performance, operational concerns, risks, opportunities, and recommended improvements.Exercise sound business judgment and appropriate decision-making authority while escalating significant financial, legal, employee, safety, or operational matters as required.Complete required company, leadership, safety, operational, and compliance training and assigned projects within established timelines.Assume delegated or temporary General Manager responsibilities during absences, vacancies, emergencies, special projects, or
