Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Desta Care Therapeutic, your daily responsibilities will encompass a variety of crucial tasks aimed at improving client well-being:

• Serve as an essential liaison between our clients, families, and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Interact with insurance companies to manage pre-certification processes and facilitate utilization management for our clients’ treatment plans.
• Participate actively in discharge and aftercare planning, providing critical support to clients transitioning from inpatient care back to community-based resources.
• Offer therapeutic meal support, helping clients develop a healthier relationship with food by modeling positive behaviors and discussions.
• Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to the specific needs of each client, considering their intersecting identities and personal experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Desta Care Therapeutic serves a wide array of clients, including individuals from various backgrounds and those facing mental health challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and other disorders. A significant focus of this role will be on supporting older adults, addressing their unique psychological and emotional needs as they navigate later stages of life. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Tennessee.

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
