Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between students, families, and outpatient providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify students needing support and develop individualized care plans.
• Engage with insurance companies to manage pre-certification and facilitate the utilization management process.
• Participate in discharge planning and aftercare coordination, ensuring students transition smoothly back into their educational environment.
• Provide therapeutic meal support, fostering healthy relationships with food while addressing nutritional and emotional needs.
• Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care, tailored to each client's unique circumstances, while respecting their cultural and personal identities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, who often face various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. By employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques, you will help cultivate resilience and coping skills among these students, aiming to improve their overall mental health and academic performance.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Florida is necessary.
• Strong clinical skills with demonstrated experience in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with students, families, and educational staff.
• A capacity to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a school-based mental health setting is highly desirable.
• Previous work with adolescents and their families, particularly in managing emotional and behavioral challenges, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of community resources and support services to facilitate referrals and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time LCSW position ranges from $90,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
